That is exactly why I'm turning to poems more and more, and will post more here this year, between acts of commentary if we don't find ways to just show and not tell we are creating the sound and the fury.

My favorite feature of your writing, beyond the way that it stretches and at times frustrates my brain, is how it demands for me to return to it. In whatever form it takes, at whatever publication. I return to it. What a wonder. Turning my Substack into a stan account posthaste.

I woke up, couldn’t get back to sleep, read this, ruminated on time, fell asleep and dreamt of acting the role of a messenger bard on a train. I wore a cape and round wire rimmed glasses. Then when I woke up I read it again and said ah yes, ok.
