Capitalism which begat profiteering which begat consumerism which begat ultra processed dopamine packets to serve as catharsis for the fruits of mindlessness, is today’s artistic currency that is spent on attempts to feel good about the inherent contradictions that existing will lay upon our table.

Thousands die in Gaza; gun violence is the number one killer of children; thousands die due to healthcare claim denials. We now both vilify and canonize he who killed a healthcare CEO. We perp walk while create merchandise.

Will music be the sound that the falling tree makes/doesn’t make in the forest? Is it the radioactive particle that will/wont decay causing the death/survival of Schrödinger’s cat?

Meaning and interpretation are always manipulated, oftentimes via dilution and the minstrelsy of the pre-ordered clowns…do we remain/walk out of the performance?

The main reason I have chosen to read Substack for over a year is because there seems to be a concerted effort to be civil, earnest and intelligent. Therefore, I am testing my analysts: By push back on this title ‘Black’ music.

Just like spirit has no color- music reflects cultures of creators. I enjoy all kinds of music if I like it. I do not try to dip music into mud of liars from which destruction pounces against humanity.
